My name is Walid Atta, born in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in August 28th 1986. My career as a professional football player started in early 2008 when I joined team AIK in Stockholm Sweden. Team AIK was founded in 1891 (122 years ago) and is measured as top club in the Swedish league for decades. During my engagement with AIK (3 years) I gained a lot of experience in all aspect of professionalism as a football player. Throughout these years a became a key player and performed very well in many games in the league also in some international games as well. These 3 successful years became my key to the Swedish national team of U21 and many offer from international clubs, like Glasgow Rangers from Scotland, Valencienne from France and Dinamo Zagreb from Croatia and a few more. After consulting family and my agent I decided to sign up for Dinamo Zagreb from Croatia. Less successful journey with injuries and unstable club economy leading to the club not been able to pay players’ salaries.  Subsequently free ticket from Dinamo Zagreb to leave the club and sin up for any other club with no obligation what so ever.

Helsingborg IF, Swedish football clublocated in a city of  Helsingborg. the club was previous year champions of Swedish league which means Europa Champions League qualifications games to be played if I signed up for the club which I did. Successful story again many international games like hanover 96, Levante and Twente , 7 goals as a center back more than any defender in the league, many offers from clubs in Europe, and voted to be player of the year.

I  have been following the Ethiopian national team in African cup and world cup qualification and I am so impressed and proud how they are progressing just getting better and better It looks good and promising for Ethiopian football in future and hopefully I can be a part of that team and contribute to an even greater success, that would be a fantastic honor.
